At Omaha OB-GYN Associates, P.C. we are committed to giving back to the community. Many of our practitioners (and their families) donate time and resources to a number of causes. Several of our doctors, nurses, and administration staff participate in fundraising walks and races, logging hundreds of miles and wearing out countless running shoes.

You can find us pounding the pavement at these, and other, races:

  • Market to Market
  • March of Dimes
  • Race for the Cure
  • Girls on the Run
  • Hot Chocolate Race
  • Juvenile Diabetes

We also support these programs/organizations:

In 2022, Dr Jennifer Hill and her family served on a medical mission trip to Belize. The medical team consisted of four physicians, a pharmacist, a physical therapist, and a dozen assistants. They created a mobile clinic and travelled to small villages throughout rural areas where they were able to treat close to 1000 patients across 5 different locations. Dr Hill’s husband, Chad, filled the role of optician at the mobile clinic, helping people find eyeglasses. Her daughter, Madison, worked in the pharmacy filling prescriptions and translating medication instructions. It was a very rewarding and educational experience.

Omaha OB-GYN's office administrator Ellen Houston, along with Dr. Collins, Dr. Schulte, and former nurse practitioner Cindy Berkland have all visited Kenya, Africa to contribute their time and talents to the Naivasha Women's Health Care Center (NWHCC). The NWHCC was designed to be an inexpensive and effective way of catering to the needs of the women who do not have access to private medical care. The focus of the new facility is to allow women to undergo labor, deliver their babies, and recover from the birthing experience in a semi-private suite designed to care for their obstetrical needs in one room. This assures safety by less cross-contamination and allows for privacy and family support for the mother.

Dr. Steinauer and his son Nickolas joined a mission trip to Los Olingos, Honduras, as part of Global Medical Brigades, SLU Chapter. The group brought along medication and physicians, and set up a clinic, seeing nearly 800 patients.

Our families get involved too. At the Kamie K. Preston Hereditary Cancer Foundation’s Golf Outing Fundraiser, Ellen Houston’s husband Tom and son Mark, as well as Dr. Leishman-Barb’s husband Thomas and Dr. Collins’ husband Brian were members of the Omaha OB-GYN team.
