Veronica joins the Omaha OBGYN team as a board certified Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Dakota and has provided therapy services to clients in-home, intensive-outpatient, outpatient and through EAP.

Veronica Olson, MA, LIMHP, NCC is a board-certified Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Dakota. Over the course of her career, she has worked with clients across a wide range of ages and settings, including outpatient clinics, intensive outpatient programs, in-home services, and employee assistance programs. While Veronica previously worked with children and families, she now focuses exclusively on supporting adult women through issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, infertility, pregnancy loss, and perinatal mood disorders.

Additional Background

Veronica’s approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, integrating a variety of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Reality Therapy. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and practices with an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed lens. Her work is culturally responsive and client-centered, emphasizing empowerment and sustainable growth. Veronica has completed specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and infertility-focused training through the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). She sees clients in person and also offers secure telehealth sessions through HIPAA-compliant Spruce.
