Dr. Frank DeVries, M.D. has a special interest in obstetric ultrasound and was instrumental in helping Omaha OB/GYN Associates become one of the few private practices in Nebraska to achieve certification from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), reflecting the practice’s commitment to excellence in imaging standards and patient care.
More About Dr. DeVries
Dr. Franklin D. DeVries is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with more than 35 years of experience dedicated to advancing women’s health in both urban and rural communities. Originally from a rural area between Omaha and Lincoln, Dr. DeVries brings a deep understanding of the unique healthcare challenges faced by smaller communities. He is a passionate advocate for rural medicine and works closely with hospitals in southeastern Nebraska to ensure access to high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care close to home. He believes strongly in the importance of maintaining local hospitals, so patients do not have to travel long distances for essential medical services. Dr. DeVries earned his undergraduate degree from Creighton University and received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in 1987. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago in 1991.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. DeVries is a dedicated educator He serves as a clinical instructor at UNMC and has received numerous teaching Select All Writing Tools 1 from Creighton University School of Medicine and the “Outstanding volunteer faculty of the Year” award from the Clarkson Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. DeVries practices full-scope OB-GYN care, including prenatal care, deliveries, gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive procedures, and preventative health services. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a member of the American Medical Association, Nebraska Medical Association, Metro-Omaha Medical Society, and Omaha OB-GYN Society. He has also served as clinical services chief in OB-GYN at Nebraska Med. V Center.
