Colposcopy

A colposcopy is a diagnostic procedure that uses a special microscope to closely examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva for abnormal cells. It is often performed after an abnormal Pap smear for early detection of precancerous or cancerous changes.

Cryosurgery

Cryosurgery uses extreme cold to destroy abnormal cervical tissue, often caused by precancerous changes or HPV. This quick, in-office procedure is minimally invasive, requires little downtime, and helps prevent the progression of cervical disease.

LEEP

The Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) removes abnormal cervical tissue using a thin, low-voltage wire loop. LEEP is typically recommended after abnormal Pap or biopsy results, allowing for both diagnosis and treatment in a single visit.

Hysteroscopy

A hysteroscopy uses a thin, lighted scope inserted through the vagina to view the uterus and diagnose or treat problems like heavy bleeding, fibroids, or polyps. This minimally invasive procedure allows for accurate evaluation and targeted treatment.

Endometrial Ablations

Technically not a surgery, this procedure is a minimally invasive, in-office option to treat heavy menstrual bleeding, in which a thin layer of tissue (endometrium) is removed from the uterine lining. Endometrial ablations can help improve quality of life without an incision or major surgery.

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that involves altering the appearance or size of the labia, the inner and outer folds of skin surrounding the vulva.

Dilation and Curettage (D&C)

A D&C involves dilating the cervix and gently removing uterine tissue. It’s used to diagnose uterine conditions, manage heavy bleeding, or remove tissue after a miscarriage, providing both treatment and diagnostic benefits.

Hysterectomy

A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus and, in some cases, surrounding structures. It may be recommended for conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, chronic pain, or cancer, and can be performed using minimally invasive techniques.

Incontinence Procedures

We offer surgical treatments for urinary incontinence, including sling procedures and pelvic floor repairs. These surgeries help restore bladder control, improve daily function, and enhance quality of life for women with persistent leakage issues.

Pelvic Prolapse Repair

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when weakened muscles and tissues allow pelvic organs to drop from their normal position, causing pain or pressure in the vagina. Surgical repair restores proper support, relieves discomfort, and improves bladder and bowel function.

Additional In-Hospital Surgeries Available

Our physicians also perform other specialized gynecologic procedures in a hospital setting. Consult your physician or nurse practitioner to discuss your needs and determine the most effective treatment options for your health.
