Osteoporosis
Omaha OB/GYN provides comprehensive care for women at risk of or living with osteoporosis. As estrogen levels decline during and after menopause, bone density can decrease, raising the risk of fractures. Our providers focus on prevention, early detection, and treatment to help women maintain strength and independence.

Osteoporosis Treatment
Our team uses advanced diagnostics and personalized treatment plans to protect bone health and reduce fracture risk. Please contact either of our office locations with questions or to schedule an osteoporosis consultation appointment.
Bone Density Testing
A bone density scan (DEXA) is the most reliable way to measure bone strength and detect early signs of osteoporosis. This painless, non-invasive test helps us assess your osteoporosis risk and monitor changes over time.
Risk Assessments
We evaluate key risk factors—including family history, menopause status, lifestyle habits, and medications—that may contribute to bone loss. Identifying risks early allows us to design effective prevention strategies tailored to each patient.
Osteoporosis Prevention & Lifestyle Guidance
Preserve bone health through proven recommendations for nutrition, calcium and vitamin D intake, exercise, and lifestyle changes to strengthen bones and reduce fracture risk.
Medical Treatment Options
When needed, we prescribe medications that help slow bone loss, rebuild bone density, and protect against fractures. Our providers will discuss the safest, most effective treatment options for your unique health needs.
Ongoing Monitoring & Support
Bone health requires long-term management. We provide follow-up testing, counseling, and care adjustments to ensure patients continue to stay strong and reduce their risk of osteoporosis-related complications.
