Pelvic Pain Treatment Options

Omaha OB/GYN can help women find relief through the following treatment methods—please contact either of our office locations with any questions or to schedule a pelvic pain consultation appointment.

Hormonal Assessments

Hormonal testing measures estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, and other key reproductive hormones that may contribute to pelvic pain. Identifying imbalances helps us design individualized hormonal treatment strategies, including medical therapies that regulate cycles, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.

Pelvic Ultrasound

A pelvic ultrasound uses sound waves to create detailed images of the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding structures. This non-invasive test helps detect fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and other possible causes of pelvic pain, giving providers a clear picture for effective diagnosis and treatment planning.

Endometrial Biopsy

An endometrial biopsy involves collecting a small tissue sample from the uterine lining for lab analysis. It can help identify conditions like endometritis, hormonal imbalances, or abnormal cell growth that may contribute to pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, or irregular cycles.

Hysteroscopy

A hysteroscopy uses a thin, lighted scope inserted through the cervix to view the inside of the uterus. This minimally invasive procedure helps diagnose and sometimes treat causes of pelvic pain such as fibroids, polyps, or scar tissue, offering both clarity and treatment in a single procedure.

Targeted Treatments

Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may include medication, hormone therapy, physical therapy, or minimally invasive surgical procedures such as laparoscopic removal of endometriosis or adhesions. Our goal is to reduce your discomfort, restore daily function, and improve overall reproductive health.
